Taxonomic Coverage

Triticeae

Species Triticum aestivum (wheat), Secale cereale (rye)

Temporal Coverage

Start Date / End Date 2015-04-01 / 2015-05-31

Project Data

LC-MS/MS study of wheat ovaries pollinated by rye. Two wheat genotypes differing in compatibility with rye were used, at 3 times of development: not pollinated, 30 and 60 minutes after pollination.

Title Wheat-rye cross-incompatibility
Funding INRA
Study Area Description Proteomics

The personnel involved in the project:

Veronique Lesage
  • Principal Investigator

Sampling Methods

Four biological replicates were sampled for each genotype x treatment combination. Total proteins were extracted for each sample and submitted to 1D eletrophoresis. Each electrophoresis line was splitted in five bands, giving rise to 120 samples (2 genotypes x 3 treatments x 4 biological replicates x 5 electrophoretical bands), submitted to LC-MS/MS.

Study Extent One sampling
